Scope
The rising complication and advancement have limited the growth of traditional urban development, urban construction, and urban management. Development of big data technology and analysis methods offer unique opportunities for efficient urban expansion. This workshop discusses big data in urban art and its challenges and opportunities in urban planning, with a special focus on the modernization and Mobility sectors.
The aim of this workshop is to present the most recent challenges and developments in “Big Data Planning and Smart Cities” from the perspective of providing awareness and its best practices for the real world. This workshop is open to submit high quality contributions from wide range of professions including scholars, researchers, academicians and Industry people. Original papers and state of the art reviews will be accepted.

- Smart architecture for urban planning
- Big computing for Smart cities
- Urban computing and big data analytics
- Big data sensing and IoT frameworks and infrastructures
- Big data infrastructures and warehouse for smart cities
- Sensor networks and data mining for smart city applications
- Social computing big data and networks for smart cities
- Data analysis and machine learning for smart city applications.
- Electricity and roadway networks integration in the smart city paradigm
- Interoperability between different systems and domains in the city
- Future Advancements.
Paper Submissions
Authors are invited to submit full papers to the workshop. Full papers must be submitted through the workshop submission site. Full papers should not exceed six pages in Springer conference format. This limit includes figures, tables, and references.
All accepted and presented papers will be published by Springer and made available through SpringerLink Digital Library.
Proceedings will be submitted for inclusion in leading indexing services, Ei Compendex, ISI Web of Science, Scopus, CrossRef, Google Scholar, DBLP, as well as EAI’s own EU Digital Library (EUDL).

Papers should be submitted through EAI ‘ Confy ’ system, and have to comply with the Springer format (see Author’s kit).

Submission guidelines
Papers should be in English. Regular papers should be up to 6 to 20 pages in length. Previously published work may not be submitted, nor may the work be concurrently submitted to any other conference or journal. Such papers will be rejected without review. The paper submissions must follow the Springer formatting guidelines (see Author’s kit). Read the Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement.
